MARISA FINDLAY
MARISA FINDLAY
My mother taught me to quilt while I was pregnant with my daughter - it was a cot sized quilt for the baby to play on and has been invaluable. After my first lesson I was absolutely hooked and struggled to stop. I had no idea that the simple act of cutting bits of material up into small pieces and then sewing them back together again could be so rewarding. I’ve jumped into the deep end now with a king sized quilt that is far more complicated and even more fun than the first - I love the challenge. I would love the opportunity to make quilts for other people so if you like what you have seen and read please get in contact to discuss a commission. In an attempt to connect with my Zambian roots, I am interested in exploring a Zambian inspired theme for my quilts.
